‘A People War’ in Photo

A collection of 70 photographs selected from the critically acclaimed picture book, A People War, is to travel again starting this week. This time it will concentrate in the eastern belt of the nation, a release issued by Nepa~laya, the publisher of the book, said. Nepa~laya is extending the exhibition to 10 more places during 14th September – 10th October.
The travelling exhibition is called – A People War - Photo Exhibition Tour (Laddainma Janata - Photo Pradarsani Yatra) and will display the same set of pictures as during earlier exhibitions. The pictures show the human and material cost of ten years of conflict and is believed to help build a constituency for long-term peace in the country. The exhibition will also exhibit images and feedbacks from phase 1 exhibitions, the release added.
The 2nd phase of this exhibition will start in Chandranighapur on 13th September and will visit Malangwa, Itahari, Dhankuta, Birtamode, Damak, Biratnagar, Gaighat and Birgunj before concluding in Palung a month later. Entry to the exhibitions are free and special arrangements have been made to distribute limited copies of the book to schools and libraries across Nepal.
